The first Workshop “EU-Central Asia Relations: a Hungarian Perspective” brought together researchers, professors and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. Participants discussed how the European Union and its member States could take advantage of the economic opportunities and address security challenges brought about by the tremendous geopolitical and geo-economic changes in the Central Asian region.
Prof. Dr. András Lánczi, the Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest welcomed Mr. Peter Burian, EU Special Representative for Central Asia at Corvinus University. Mr. Burian took part in the Workshop about Central Asia and had some negotiations with Hungarian companies. He met with the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
